The Mile-a-Minute Project of the Hudson Valley was established in 2005 to provide outreach, education, and control for the Mile-a-Minute vine (Persicaria perfoliata L., formally Polygonum perfoliatum L.) to help prevent its spread.

This group is made possible by the cooperation of the New York State
Department of Environmental Conservation, Palisades Interstate Park Commission, Highlands Environmental Research Institute, Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve, New York State Office of Parks Recreation and Historic Preservation, Invasive Plant Council, The Nature Conservancy, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Westchester County Parks Department, Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, Hudson Highlands Land Trust, and many dedicated individuals.
