I Love My Park Day 2019 and Free Family Fishing Clinic May 4th at Norrie Point

Volunteers help cut brush in front of Norrie Point Environmental Center

I Love My Park Day is an annual event that brings together thousands of volunteers to celebrate and enhance New York’s parks, historic sites, and public lands. You can help spruce up these special places at a variety of locations including at Norrie Point Environmental Center  located within Mills-Norrie State Park in Staatsburg, Dutchess County. Volunteers can help clear brush, pick up debris, or paint and stain picnic tables. The work event takes place Saturday, May 4, and volunteers can come at any time between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. For more details and to register, please visit Parks and Trails New York and select “Hudson Valley” from the location list. Click on “Register in Hudson Valley Region” and select Mills Norrie State Park. Give back to the places you love! After you’ve volunteered, join DEC for a free fishing clinic.
