Research in the Reserve: Studying Ecosystems of the Tidal Hudson

The Hudson River National Estuarine Research Reserve (HRNERR) is hosting an all-day research forum. This event will focus on research conducted in collaboration with HRNERR or conducted at any of its four component sites (Stockport Flats, Tivoli Bays, Iona Island and Piermont Marsh).

Research has been conducted by Reserve staff and other scientists since 1982, both in the Reserve sites and in the Hudson Valley related to Reserve priorities. This event will highlight recent research so that local researchers and students are aware of the research and facilities of the Reserve.

Canoe launch road and the trail south to Bard College are temporarily closed – 2020

As of June 12th: Kidd Lane entrance to the Tivoli Bays WMA, canoe launch road and the trail south to Bard College are temporarily closed, due to construction activities for the Empire State Trail.   Once the construction is complete, the area will be re-opened to the public. Thank you.

 

Tivoli Bays Launch Closure – 2020

The canoe and kayak launch on the Kidd Lane access road at Tivoli Bays WMA is closed for renovations until further notice. At this time, DEC does not have an estimated completion date for the project. Please contact Nathan Ermer at 845-256-3047 for more information about this project.
